About North Coast Region
North Coast Region is one of the regions of Scouts NSW, covering Groups from Kew in the south to the Queensland border in the north, all along the coastline. We're a volunteer-led Region, supported by a small number of paid staff, working for the benefit of young people in our communities.
Volunteer-led, community-powered
North Coast Region supports Scout Groups across two Districts, backed by a Region team of volunteers who coordinate training, events, safety and support so local Groups can focus on delivering a great program to youth members. Like all Scouts NSW Regions, we're supported by paid staff at a State level, and our own office is assisted by one Region employee who helps keep the day-to-day running smoothly.
Our major annual events include RASOREE, our Region All Sections camp, Level Up camp for Cub Scouts and Joey Scouts, Region Rally for Scouts, and a Social Camp for Venturer Scouts, alongside many other activities at Region, State and even National level.

Our Region's own campsite at Glenreagh hosts the majority of our major camps and courses throughout the year.

North Coast Region is made up of two Districts. Get in touch with your nearest Group to arrange a visit — most Groups meet weekly during school terms.
Northern Rivers District
Groups from Maclean and up, including Ballina, Lismore, Casino, Kyogle, Byron and the Tweed.
Orama District
Groups from Grafton and down, including Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, the Nambucca Valley, Port Macquarie and Camden Haven.
